I plugged the battery XT-60 in backwards to the quad and completely fried out the ESC.
Yes, apparently that is possible, the male battery jack side will go right into the female XT60 battery side, and whatever other side connection is needed, the spark will jump the gap in a loud pop.
After 1 flight, and 6 months of configuring Betaflight and OpenTX, my new quad is dead.
I can solder, I have a TS-100, but not good enough to remove and replace this thing. $500 down the drain :-/ I'll try and order another ESC, but I don't know how I'm going to be able to replace it with my vision being so poor.
