This GPS module is fastest at acquiring satellites of at least 8 I have used. If your model has the power, it's a great choice. I have two.
One is stuck on a 30.5 CF plate, on a 4" Sky Hero OB1, wire-tied neatly flat on top of the frame, secured with wire ties. Fast lock outdoors, and I've got as many as 10 sats on the bench in a small room full of electronic stuff. The CF plate (and CF frame below it) seem to isolate the GPS pretty well from interference.
The other... I picked up a crazy-sturdy Flywoo 150mm Crab frame on sale here and haven't started fitting out yet, or it may find its way to an old Talon 2 550mm that needs a really good GPS.
Compass is CW270 Flip.
Bought by mistake, but still happy with it. Great module, but a little big and heavy for a quadcopter and would be better suited for a large wing. But does exactly what it needs to. I get a SAT lock in about 10 seconds after power up. GPS rescue works great as well.
I have used a cheaper smaller GPS in a different quad before and it struggled a bit to get a fix. But this one works really well and I even easily get a good fix inside my house on my desk.
